DISCLAIMER: Mother, a Hound/Labrador mix, is on the premises. No one can guarantee the actual breed lineage of mixed breed dogs. Our determination of this puppy's breeds is a calculated guess based on appearance and behavior traits. We adopt only to Tampa Bay and surrounding areas. For more information, please email: InquiryForNewHorizonDogRescue@gmail.com Please include your name and phone number for response. Requirements for Puppy adoption: 1. Must own your own home -- single family dwelling 2. Enclosed fenced yard 3. Stay at home or work at home. Puppies cannot be kept kenneled during their developmental process, as this restrictive environment can create anxious and undeveloped behavior. Strict adherence to affection, socialization and care are required. Born on April 13, 2018 Approximate Weight Full Grown: 50-55 lbs Adoption donation: $400.00, to include full series of vaccinations, sexual alteration, flea and heartworm prevention, regular fecal testing up to six months of age. The health of our puppies is number one priority. We fecal test on the premises regularly to ensure our puppies are parasite-free. The best foods on the market only are provided to our puppies, to include fresh fruits and vegetables. A puppy's socialization window closes at 4 months of age. Any sight, sound and smell a puppy has not been exposed to after this window can create fear within the puppy. For this reason our puppies are exposed to, to name a few: thunder storms, fireworks, vacuum cleaners, garbage disposals, people of all ages and colors, bicycles, music, various scents, cats, dogs, sirens, car rides, etc. Socialization should be taken seriously. The more a puppy is exposed to common and extraordinary stimuli, the more balanced and relaxed the puppy grows as an adult. We respect a dog's biological needs by not feeding the same manufacturer bag after bag. Dogs need, crave and love variety. Our dogs are fed only the finest grain-free foods on the market. That's what they deserve, a long, healthy life ahead. ABOUT PATCHES Sept 2017... Patches was injured one week before Irma. He was in Antigua. He was found on the side of the road, unable to use either hind leg. He stayed in a foster in Antigua for the storm, who ended up holding on to him, until he came to our rescue Friday before last. He now uses the right leg to walk, and even hop a long at a good pace. He is painful, when it's nearing time to have his pain meds again. Even under sedation, he was very painful and they had a hard time fully manipulating that left leg (which shows in the xrays). Xrays showed fractures to his pelvis (which are healing) and a complete shattering of the femoral head on the left leg. NOW He has been through surgery and months of physical therapy, and he is ready for a loving home! FULL STORY HERE: http://www.nopawleftbehind.org/from-antigua-patches (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-06-13-00271Lily (female)
Very sweet dog. We don't have time to care for her, she currently is an outside dog (not exposed to the elements) She has plenty of shelter but we can't keep her inside due to allergies. She is a loyal and chill dog and she needs a caring family that will provide her with love and attention. She would never run away because she loves being around people. She has from time to time showed some temper issues with other dogs but it comes from her loyalty to us. But has never harmed anyone or anything including furniture.

Rex is a very calm dog. He barks very minimally and does not beg or steal food. Recently, we have discovered a pattern of aggressive behavior with children and puppies. He permanently damaged my father-in-laws rambunctious puppy and repeatedly growls and attempts to attack our neighbors puppy. Other than this, he is an incrediblly sweet and perfect dog.

Hi! I'm Willa! I am approximately 4-5 years old and weigh 40 lbs. I was a lost stray along with my two pups Gentry and Trooper. We were all named after fallen Officer William Gentry. I am a very sweet girl who looks to have had a hard life. I love lots of attention. I may need some housetraining work. I would do well with other dogs and well-behaved children. Please come rescue me! Adoption fee includes spay, UTD vaccines, and microchip! Call Alexandra 330-261-3934

Animal ID: Sam2018Sammy (male)
Meet Sammy. Sammy was a very neglected malnourished hound. He was turned into the shelter as a stray! Sammy is the sweetest, most patient, loving fellow. He is very laid back. He loves his cat friends and his dog friends. He has grown very accustomed to his Khushi bed. However Sami loves to lay in the Sun and get warmed up. Once he's warmed up and he's had enough you'll come to the door and ask for his bed! Sammy is about 7 years old and he has gained quite a bit of weight now. He didn't like food at first and we've tried it all. He was heartworm positive but we fix that too. So Sammy is ready for his forever home where he can languish and luxury. If you're interested in Sammy please call us at 850-398-2703. You won't be sorry he's a doll! Sammy is not neutered yet due to his being so underweight. Once he has enough weight on him we will definitely have him neutered. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-04-06-00165Daisy (female)
Daisy is a 6year old Coonhound that was dumped on the side of the road by a Hunter, after litters of puppies was probably 'useless' to them. She is learning to be a Pet for the first time in her life. She's been a 'pack' member for so long, she would be happier being an only dog, or having an older male buddy. She has been living with horses, a pig and a parrot and has been fine. She just needs a chance to be a 'dog'.. and be loved..

Sydney is full of energy and love! She is good with other dogs and loves children but had a family who did not protect her from their child. She is a very smart girl and her specialty is jumping. She MUST have a fenced yard as she is agile and will find a way out. To inquire about adoption, please visit our website www.rufftimesrescue.org and click on the forms section.

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-17-00199GeeGee (female)
THIS IS A COURTESY POST. This sweet girl is GeeGee. She is about 9 months old, 45 pounds. She was born in an abandoned building to a stray, mixed-breed mother and a Treeing Walker Coonhound father. The mother brought the two surviving puppies to a good Samaritan's yard, where they've been living ever since. She's looking for a forever family, who will show her what life as a family pet is all about! She is very shy, so a patient owner in a calm setting would probably be best. That hound nose of her's makes her extra curious of small furry creatures, so a cat-free home would be best. She has been fixed, and is up to date on vaccines. If you are willing to open your heart and home to this beautiful pup, send us an email to LastHopeRescueFL@gmail.com! (Less)

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. This sweet mama is ShyAnn. She was found as a stray, with two puppies. A good Samaritan helped her raise her pups for a few months, and now they are all ready to find forever homes. ShyAnn is a timid, shy girl. A quiet home, where she can learn what life is like as a family pet would be ideal. It is possible that she's never been in a home before, so she'll need a patient understanding owner to give her the love and attention she has been deprived of! As a hound, her nose can make her overly curious of those small furry creatures, so a cat-free home would be best. She gets along well with other dogs. She has been fixed, and is up to date on vaccines. If you are willing to open your heart and home to this sweet little mama, send us an email to LastHopeRescueFL@gmail.com! (Less)
