Animal ID: 31Rosco (male)
Come a little closer please I wanna kiss you... Hi guys, I'm Rosco... I was saved 7 months ago by a very nice woman who had found me after I was hit by a car and left to die... The nice woman and her neighbor sought out medical attention for me by a very nice vet.... After much care, love, and recooping I was surrendered to the rescue for rehoming... Unfortunately the woman who saved me was not able to keep me due to traveling... I am crate trained, know my name, and house broken... I am a basic coon hound, as soon as I get outside, my nose hits the ground and I am on the trail of anything.... I am wonderful with children of all ages... I love to go on car rides.. It takes me a little bit to get familiar with new dogs, but if they like me, I love to play with them... I don't care about the cats, they just do their thing... They say I am about 2 years old... I would love to find a place to call home where I can stay forever, be loved, have a companion... I am neutered, have a current 1 year Rabies Vaccination, 1 year DA2LLP Vaccination, current on Drontal Plus dewormer, and Frontline Plus for fleas... (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-22-00472Lucy (female)
Lucy was dumped with her brother Linus (also posted). They were taken in by an elderly woman who has recued in the past. At first she refused as her health is declining and she already has several older dogs to care for. However, the individual who showed up asking her to take them stated that his next stop would be the local shelter. The shelter they would have gone to puts animals down very quickly with no attempts to find homes. She could not bring herself to refuse them but knows she cannot handle the additional work or cost. Lucy is scheduled to be spayed on 4-1. Will also receive shots and heartworm test. This cost will be covered and we have an igloo that could go with her. She is very sweet and well socialized. I have exposed her to several other dogs of various sizes and breeds and she seems to like everybody. She is bonded with her brother and they would be great placed together but will place separately if needed. She is currently 30lbs but as a puppy is growing fast. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-22-00456Linus (male)
Linus was dumped with his sister Lucy (also posted) and taken in by an elderly woman in the area who has rescued in the past. She first refused to take the dogs because she is hoping to move to assisted living in the fall but could not refuse when the individual who showed up on her property told her the next stop was the local shelter. That particular county makes no real attempt to find homes but simply puts the animals down. These faces were too hard to dismiss. Linus is scheduled to be neutered on 4-1. He will also receive shots and heartworm test. We will cover this cost and have an igloo we could send with him. He is a good natured dog and shows good socialization. I have exposed him to several other dogs of various sizes and breeds. He seems very bonded with his sister but we will adopt them out individually or as a pair. He is muddy in the picture but has a beautiful white smooth coat with a few tan spots. Currently about 35lbs. (Less)
