Rescue Me ID: 17-06-07-00491Lucy (female)
Lucy spent the first few years of her life in a puppy mill churning out puppies. She somehow escaped and was picked up by a shelter. The original owners eventually found her, but didn't want her back after finding out that she had been spayed. We adopted her from that shelter after losing our Golden Retriever to heart disease. Now my wife and I both work full time jobs and Lucy is not getting the attention she needs. She is crate trained and very good as an inside dog. She wants so badly to be a lap dog.

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-31-00307Ooma (female)
Meet Ooma. This 6-year-old coonhound/bassett mix is beyond adorable and so ultra sweet. She is gentle, loving and great companion. Although Ooma loves to go for walks, she would do best with a fenced in yard to help her get enough exercise while keep her safe. Ooma is very friendly with everyone and everything. She has lived with cats and has done great. Her former kitten friend was also a great snuggle buddy. Ooma is also very excited to meet new dogs. She is quite the social butterfly. Omma has lived with children of various ages and has done great--even with toddlers. Omma would like a home that can offer her walks and cuddle time in equal amounts. She is a 60-pound snuggle buddy. Ooma knows a couple of commands and has come a long way since being adopted a year ago. We are guessing that she didn't have the most stellar beginning at life because too much chaos, loud noises or harsh voices make her pretty nervous. She is doing much better being out and about in public places these days. She has learned that these places give her a lot of attention, and of course she is on board with that. Ooma is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is also housebroken and crate trained. In fact she likes to have her crate door open so that she can retreat to it whenever she needs a safe place. If you would like to meet Ooma please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $150. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-10-00396Bruce (male)
Update: Bruce has been retured and is back up for adoption. Call, the number below if you are interested. Bruce was surrendered to Pals 4 Paws hoping they could find him a home. His dad could not take care of him any longer, or even himself. We were contacted because the rescue that had him has a hard time finding homes for Coonhounds. So Hoosier Hooves & Hounds took Bruce into their rescue. When Bruce got to our rescue he was in desperate need of some groceries. He weighed in at 32 pounds. He still needs to put on some more weight. That should not be an issue for Bruce, he does not turn down anything. He is crate trained, loves going for walks, he would do best in a home with no cats because he likes them a little to much. He does well with other dogs but keep in mind I am still a puppy & I do want to play with most other dogs i meet & not all dogs are so welcoming to that. He loves to play with tennis balls & chew bones. He is good with kids & loves car rides & does well. My adoption fee is $125.00. (Less)
