Hi my name is Hope and I am a very loving affectionate pup! I love people, other dogs, stuffed animals, my bone, and kids who are gentle with me. Cats are okay, so I will need proper introduction. I am up to date with vaccines, fully vetted, treated for any illness or disease, most commonly Giardia, Coccidia, and worms. I have already started flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, micro-chipped, been groomed, come with one month of free health insurance, 2 Health Certificates, and new puppy starter kit, but most of all I come with unconditional love and affection!!! If you want to meet me, please leave a number where you can be reached by ... (Read More)Diandra my adoption counselor. My rescue is located in Hampton, NH in Southern NH only 45 minutes North of Boston. Must be 24 years of age to adopt, own home, and be able to provide a loving, caring, environment with the ability to afford medical and wellness care. We look at placing our dogs and puppies in homes that are an Ideal Match for the energy, personality, and needs of each animal. We are looking for FOREVER HOMES, as our adoptees are not only companions, they are family, and family means forever. NOTE: Please leave a number where you can be contacted, as we like to speak to potential adopters first before sending out applications for pre-approval. Adoption fee is $450, our vets do NOT recommend pediatric spays and neuters for the health and well-being of the animal until 6 months of age. All animals in our rescue 6 months and older are spayed and neutered. Spay and Neuter contract required in State of NH and our rescue policy for pups under 6 months. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-29-00068Huck (male)

Treeing Walker Coonhound    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Huck is a wonderfully sweet 4-5 year old boy. He is very smart and well-trained. He loves to go for walks and hikes but can also be a couch potato. He would prefer a home with another dog and a fenced-in yard. He is completely housebroken and crate-trained. He is not at all destructive when left alone. He loves to snuggle and enjoys belly rubs. He did live with a seven year old boy in his former home and absolutely loved him. But he would probably be happiest in a home with a quieter, more predictable home, with less commotion. Huck is a super dog with a very sweet, loving personality.

lnteresting Treeing Walker Coonhound Trivia Low-Cost New Hampshire Spay & Neuter Clinics
Treeing Walker Coonhounds are descended from English Foxhounds. Treeing Walker Coonhounds get their name from their ability to chase a raccoon or other animal up a tree. Treeing Walkers have a strong nesting instinct and it can be difficult to get them out of your bed or off your couch once they have made themselves comfortable.
