Treeing Walker Coonhounds are descended from English Foxhounds. Treeing Walker Coonhounds get their name from their ability to chase a raccoon or other animal up a tree. Treeing Walkers have a strong nesting instinct and it can be difficult to get them out of your bed or off your couch once they have made themselves comfortable. Treeing Walkers can climb high fences and trees.
